When you are just starting out with your online business, every dollar counts. You probably haven’t yet earned money, and you need
all the free or low-cost tools and services that you can. That’s why I want to share this quick tip I learned quite awhile ago to save
yourself some money when you are buying your domain name (aka your URL). I still use it after 7+ years of blogging.
Most domain name services place paid search ads, which are those ads that appear shaded in lavender or peach at the top of search
results on Google when you search for something.
What you do is, rather than going directly to GoDaddy.com, search on google for “domain name service” or “buy domain name” or
something. Most of the time, you will see a killer bargain for a new domain name purchase, priced at around .99 cents or so.
Click on that link, and search for the domain you want. If it’s available, go ahead and purchase it. When you get to the shopping cart
checkout screen, you will see the domain name priced at the discounted price you saw in the paid search ad.
While the strategy is designed to attract first-time domain name buyers, there’s nothing that says you can’t take advantage of this deal
If you are in the market for a domain name, try this tip and let me know what you find in the comment.s
